First, with the price of liquid fertilizer, you might want to set up a container so you water thoroughly but collect the fertilizer that drains through the pot and use it for the next watering. Second, general directions call for a weekly feeding, however when the weather is hot and the humidity is low the orchid may dry out quicker in as little as five days. When this happens you need to water/foliar feed every five days instead of every week. Also, phalaenopsis need more water when they are in bloom but that does not mean you need to water every day.
